Playing Cards

The theme of the “Kathakali” playing cards was inspired by the Culture and Art Form of Kerala.  The cards were designed in the "Hand Drawn Illustration" style by modernizing the visual language used in the artworks of Kerala. In order to make the cards look more mystical, luxurious and stylish, the color use was determined as similar to the artform as such. The characters on the cards are inspired by different Kathakali Vesham like Pacha, Kari, Minikku and Kathi.
